Yes, P0740. I'm taking it to a transmission shop to double diagnose. In my scanner it shows slipping and RPMs bounce at 65 mph when it tries to lock up.- John P.

Anything or anywhere I should look or do before I pull my transmission for rebuild? Confirmed torque converter is slipping at lock up. Can I get away with just replacing the converter? I'm not sure if these are known for sending trash through the transmission when they go bad. Any help or...- John P.

Engine overheating, losing coolant, not pulling from expansion tank
The special tool is to hold the camshaft in place when you remove or install the sprocket. It is nice to have the tool. However that said, I have done it with a good (not cheap) pair of vice grips and a rag. If you have a good punch set that will also fit in the hole.- John P.

It's not a super difficult job. 10.2 hours in the book. I am having mine done now. $1500 for the job. I just don't have the available time to do it. You'll need a good machine shop to check and resurface the heads. While they are there I'm also having them install a new oil pump. I started...- John P.

Misfire frustration
Well, solved it. It's a head gasket issue. Can't post all of the pictures but it appears to only be leaking from the gasket itself. But hey, The cross hatching looks pretty good for 136K- John P.

How Do I test PCM signals to Coil Pack 5/2?
I know this is an older post but did the PCM end up being your issue? I'm chasing a similar issue with mine. I don't know if the PCM issue for misfires persisted into the 2011/2012 model years. In the KJ years it usually resulted in a complete failure of coil ignition due to an internal ground... -

Timing chain tensioner
It went without issues. I've put 4,500 miles on since the changing the chains. I got a very noticeable improvement in power and my mpg is back to 15-16 in the city and about 21 highway.- John P.
