Hello-
after 8 years the time has come for replacing the springs since all have sagged badly.
I bought the JBA tommud econolift when I first got the jeep. over the years shocks were replaced a few times (old man emu are the best bang for my buck), kk forks added etc.
As for front springs-...
both cv axles are here- cardone and trakmotive. cardone says "made in china". trakmotive does not say.
Funny story- In the USA you have tons of liberty's so when a part is discontinued you have a problem cause there are 1000s of folks who need it. In ISRAEL - we have like 100 liberty's left...
Since I was not sure what to get-and I will probably break it at some point- I ordered 2. I hope none of those says "made in china".....

Hey guys and gals- many years of wheeling with rubicons have taken their toll...lol... and i broke a passenger side CV axle. It rattles like a tin can.
that is no surprise to me - I have a front DTT and I am running 4.10s and a 3.5 inch lift- and I have had the factory MOPAR CV for many years...
Hello - after 6 years I finally replaced my JBA UCA's because one broke. however - on a recent trip with the new JBA's I started to get bad noises whenever the jeep hit a bump. after 7 years I sure do know my ckunks, grinds, screeches - but this was new. the noise is audible when it's at its...
after 6 years of use- I broke a UCA (dont mind the crap plastidip paint on the UCAs). Lucky for me- i was doing about 25 mph in the desert and suddenly the kj pulled hard left. I was headed into a boulder but was lucky to stop in time. I thought a lower balljoint broke but it was worse. the...
Hello - strange phenomenon i cant explain.
when i travel at about 100 kph (that's about 60 mph for you americans) I started to notice that when i turn the wheel just a bit- to switch lanes for example - i get a wobble. This does not happen when i turn the steering wheel more- like when i turn...
after 3 terrible weeks- the clunk was detected using a gopro - its the UCA! as it turns out the UCA kept banging on the spring. lucky for me- a friend of mine had spacers made -so i got those asap and after the install the clunks went away.
yup. wheelnut - you are right - and what you wrote does make a lot of sense.
of course i am aware that the jeep is not exactly stock. and of course there is "too much lift" - heck - it is just an IFS. the spring pads are old.
the thing that I cant understand is - there is quite a bit of droop...
hello. jeep not back from the shop yet. as for the ball joints etc- everything is new- moog or JBA. steering rack bushes- 1 year ago replaced with creative steel units. re-tightened.
bumpstops- terraflex extended ones- are still there.
I havent had a chance to jack the jeep up yet cause i dont...
Its at the shop - so it will take a while. but anyway- it truly is something i cant understand- I have had this thing for 5 years. I have bolted and unbolted every nut and bolt. almost everything is re-built and JBA'd (lol) and still - always something new.
