Last week I ordered a new passenger CV axle, intermediate shaft, seal, bearing, clip, etc to make this repair. Did the driver side this past fall and it's time to do the passenger. planned to do it this weekend, but will have to hit pause bc Amazon/UPS decided to deliver an empty box instead...

fwiw i just crossed 200K on the odometer and i usually go around 5K in between changes with the high mileage full synthetic stuff. i've always been amazed at how many people are unable to do simple maintenance like oil/filter/brake pads. it's not hard and helps keep your vehicle running right...

finally got around to looking into why my 42" light bar stopped working suddenly - after checking the wiring harness and relay, I think I've traced it to a bad rocker switch, so I ordered a replacement and away we go!

replaced my muffler recently and figured out the new one is slightly larger, which was making the hanger arm hit the frame making an annoying noise - so today I slipped a rubber cover over the metal arm and - no more noise! I need to make a trip to my local pull-a-part yard to hunt down some...

finally got around to adding some R-134a and have cold AC again! next up - some electrical testing to figure out why my front light bar isn't working...

sorry I'm just now responding - I did not take the rack all the way off and I did not mess with the steering shaft as recommended by some. Just undo the tie rod ends and the two big rack bolts and you should be able to wiggle it around to make it work.

I just installed the Creative Steel poly bushings - not a bad job really. got it done by myself along with new lower ball joints and brake pads all in one morning/afternoon
