Lost my only key...how screwed am I?

Got the new key today. $151 for the transmitter/key cutting + 24.95 for programming...and $75 to get towed to the dealership. Total with taxes came out to $268.52. A little less than I was expecting. They offered me a non-transmitter key for $104, but the alarm would go off every time I...

Lost my only key...how screwed am I?

Circumstances of how it was lost are irrelevant at this point. There's still a chance it will be found, but I'm not banking on it. Can anyone give an educated estimate of the damages to my bank account for such a foolish act? It's only been a few hours, but I'm kicking myself hard right...

    Post Your Salt Covered KJ/KK!

Living in Pittsburgh in the winter, every Jeep is the same color...dirty grayish and ugly (though some have some black & gold flags). Hardly any point in washing since it'll be covered again after less than a mile on the road.

    Hello From Pittsburgh PA

<--Another Pittsburgh'er here. I'd offer to join up on a trip somewhere, but I'm stock. Hoping for a lift and some plates soon, but other things are taking a priority. I work with a fellow (stock) KJ owner...he took a trip up to some trails north of Cranberry...came back with a radiator full...

Link to a craigslist ad. It's not mine so don't ask me questions, just sharing it with the group if anyone's interested. http://frederick.craigslist.org/pts/1727491301.html

How to Keep Your Coffee Warm!

I find that a quality thermal mug can keep my coffee hot for many hours. Do we really need to bring DC currents into the equation? I guess if you're a pansy and it takes you 6 hours to down 12 ounces of a toasty beverage this would be a worthy investment.

    Shamwow

Wow, my feeble attempt at humor went completely unnoticed in resurrecting this thread. The "Shamwow Guy" a/k/a Vince Offer got in a nasty fight with a ****** in 2009 when she tried to bite his tounge off. Both of them ended up pretty bloody and beaten and neither filed charges. I think...

    Shamwow

Beware of the Shamwow! Prolonged use has been proven to lead to brutal attacks by hookers. Water is bad enough for the Liberty seats, you don't want to try to get massive blood stains out of them (but at least you'd have a Shamwow to help sop it up).

Anyone seen or used this HU?

That's tight. Looks like there's no faceplate pop-off though. I have to park in some unsavory areas more than occasionally and I would never trust it being there when I get back.

Anyone has lifted a 2WD KJ?

I say take off the rear fenders and put some trim around the edges, thick enough to cover the holes. Doesn't look as bad as I thought it might without the fenders.

    Slush Mats

Less than 24 hours after nantol posted, the front & rear slush mats are in my KJ. Assuming the cargo tray is in as good condition, it's a great deal and I highly suggest anyone interested to contact the seller.

I sent a message to your gmail account. Interested in everything but the cargo tray and I'll meet you in Nova.

What are you listening to in your Libby right now?...

Lotta metal heads in here. Stern in the morning. Liquid Metal or Octane in the afternoons. I think the last ipod song was Still Counting by Volbeat. Dethklok usually doesn't leave the CD player. \m/

What did you sell or trade to get your KJ?

'97 Civic w/ 180,000 miles. Got $500 as a trade in. I always wanted a Jeep, but I usually inherited cars before now. A Wrangler would have been nice, but I prefer some interior sq footage, plus I live in a sometimes cold urban area and the thought of hoodlums slicing open my windows to steal...

    Interior accessory mounting pics?

Thanks for the link kb0nly. I think I'm gonna go with the pro-fit. I filled up my shopping cart with everything I'd need and I'm just under $100. Kinda steep, but everything seems sturdy and reliable. If you could snap a pic or two it would be awesome.
