I had a speedo problem with my brand new 2006 KJ however it was also the tacho. It turned out to be the ABS pump. It would work alright after the car was restarted.
I have just had the same problem fixed on my 06 Liberty.
The problem would go away if I restarted the car after it had warmed up.
The dealership took three months to fix it!! They eventually said it was the whole ABS pump, but who knows. It may have just been a wiring problem with the ABS.
So my car is finally fixed after many phone calls and trips to the dealership later. the problem was the ABS pump and it took until 3 of August to fix it!!
It is a nice car and I will just have to accept these dramas with the dealership and lets hope I have no more problems. ](*,)

In Australia we have very soft sand. There are huge dunes 30 minutes from my house that eventually I will experience in my KJ. I look forward to digesting all these views. Alot of people that frequent these dunes have Patrols or Landcruisers, I think the KJ will hold its own but we will see...
Here's my sad and incomplete story. After my initial service on my new Limited KJ, the next day my TPM light came on along with the H/brake light and the ESP/BAS as well as the TCS light, all stayed on, not blinking. Then the EVIC told me 'check TPM system'. Next the Speedometer and Tachometer...
I Would like to. I found this actuall site by searching for Mods. We'll have to see. Its going to be hard just getting it dirty as it is. No point in having it if I dont use it, I know.
thank you. Only one is required for Rego. The rest are the 'Australian Standards' garbage about fuel and emition. You wont purchase nothing in Australia without some star/point guide. Needless to say I doubt that the Kilometer per litre (miles per gallon) will be anything like what the all...
