Well I took a stab at changing out the heater core today. Started after work and got as far as the dash is loose and hoping to install the hear core tomorrow morning. Watched a few you tubes before starting and flew at it. Will report back when I’m done.

Has anyone done valve seals, part numbers? Gotta get a compression test done also to see if the rings and cylinder bores are toast. My engine is consuming oil almost faster than filling up. 146,000 miles on the engine. I can almost say check the gas and fill the oil.

I used molylube that you use in CV joints. Once the oilylube washes away, the dry moly will be still there hopefully. I'll check it next year as I just did it this spring. Will try marine grease next time if the molylube is all washed away

Check your spider gears and side gears in the rear end, mine are shot and I'm on borrowed time driving with them chewed up. Mine howls at high speed under acceleration. Coast and the noise dissappears. You"ll know how many items to replace when you see the condition of your gear lube. My first...
