    Air bag light.

Thanks for posting this since I've had the same problem. Searching for "air bag light" on here is next to impossible because of the three-letter words. Mine is definitely a clockspring problem since my steering wheel radio controls sometimes do the wrong thing as well.

How Many Use 120V Inverter in KJ?

Even a small, 6-cup coffee maker can pull 700W. That's a pure, resistive load at 100% duty cycle. I've had no trouble with a 60W (70W peak) inverter for running laptops and other electronic devices.

HOW TO: Install an EVIC or OTIS (overhead computer)

Mine is also from a 300M, also with homelink, TPMS, and instant MPG. Installed in an '02 Liberty. It shows either driver door or everything else. I read that the dealer can set various options, but I had zero luck in Atlanta getting a service tech to even look at it. This was after trying...

    EVIC install help

It depends on your model year. My 02 didn't have the evic wiring connector. My evic came with the connector pigtail attached. I had to run wires down the a-pillar to the OBD connector for data and I used the keyed lighter socket for power. If you don't have a connector pigtail, I've read...

    SelecTrac tcase

Yup. Tony got it right (as usual). SelecTrac (NV241) is the part-time/full-time tcase.

    SelecTrac tcase

Anyone in Central Florida want a SelecTrac with new shifter from an 02 KJ? I bought it a few years back from a yard that said the Liberty had 15,000mi on it when it was junked. It looks to be about right, but of course, I can't verify this claim. I've had it in storage for a while, and at the...

problem with new steering wheel controls...

HU = headunit = radio the "translator box" I talked about is a module that translates the Jeep's steering wheel signals into signals that an aftermarket (not stock or OEM) radio would understand. If you're using your stock radio, you wouldn't need it.

What do I need to convert Command trac to Select trac

It's a fairly easy thing to do. There's a HOWTO about it. I mentioned the control module since it's hard to find a dealer willing to re-program your current one to work with the new TC.

What do I need to convert Command trac to Select trac

The TC itself, the shifter, and the control module (if compatible, and unless you know a dealer who's willing to re-program).

problem with new steering wheel controls...

It wouldn't be a gamble. Just larceny from the dealership. As long as the wires are there on both sides, you're good to go. The factory HU won't need any kind of adapter for factory controls. An aftermarket HU would need a "translator box" spliced in.

problem with new steering wheel controls...

Check your clockspring. Although KJs came with the necessary wiring for all four sets of buttons, there were two different clocksprings: one with and one without radio controls. IIRC, the model for radio controls only has one more pin (6 vs. 5, but it's been a while.) Just check the number of...

    Window regulator blues!

Funny this post popped up again. I'm about to take my 02 to the dealership for the same replacement today. I called Chrysler's customer service to ask if there had been any recalls since a) there are so many internet complaints about it and b) there's even that Steiger guy who makes...

    which lights are these?

They're cheap, aftermarket fog lights mounted on the rear. Autozone and Advance have them on the shelf. They have a flat lighting pattern.
