Alternator issue

There is only one wire going to the small connector. I checked and there isn't a loose wire hanging. Taking the alternator to a rebuild shop this morning.

The alternator has been dropped off in Guaymas to be rebuilt. My Spanish is poor but I think the guy was saying something about a clutch. Is there a clutch on the pulley?

Yes, there's a freewheel clutch on the front of the alternator.
What's the problem? No output?

Zero output. The Jeep went dead very quickly in traffic. It had a reconditioned battery from the previous owner which I was suspicious of and so bought a new battery. It started fine but I barely made it to a friend's house where I put it on a charger and diagnosed that the alternator was dead.

They replaced the rectifier, brushes and the clutch for 1200 pesos. It is working great.
