Ok so I got one thing solved and onto another. I have noticed that I have a weird shudder knock feeling from a dead stop coming from the front area as if the front differential has a mount that is worn. I am going to replace my engine and transmission mounts but wanted to know if there is a mount or bushing on the front differential? I cannot for the life of me find the part number, picture, or listing.. This situation is getting on my nerves as I don't want to accelerate from a stop hard as who knows, it might break.

Thanks.

the only time the front diff bushing in the diff support bracket would ever make a knock would be with 4wd engaged and under acceleration/sudden decel. , if in 2wd there's no torque going through the front diff for it to move it

have you already checked the rear driveshaft slip, and ujoints?

a second problem area to check is the top caliper sliders , they have rubber bushings that are well known to swell, and seize up in the bracket and cause the inside brake pads to stick

Thanks, Then more likely it would be the motor or trans mounts.. This happens in 2wd during normal drive at every other stop from a light. It's more like a shifting and not so much a U joint feel. I replaced U joints on my other trucks and know all about that feeling.. (LOL). I did check the calipers and took care of the rubber spacer situation when I installed the new Bremteks

My XJ has a bit of that and it's the UCA bushings. I know the KJ is a different animal but I could see worn UCA bushings acting like that. Easy enough to check.

It's defiiately different than the XJ, My XJ is lifted 4.5" and full RE and Core. This is more like a shifting from a dead stop which makes a knock noise than a worn control arm or U joint shift.

WKs and XKs are known for bad diff mounts, tell tale sign is a clunk when shifting from drive to reverse or vise versa in 4WD.

Don't bad engine mounts usually vibrate too?
