I see on my 07 where the foglights go in the grill when other older models go in the bumper. What year did they switch that? Also where is button or control for foglights if they came with foglights stock? How hard would it be to put foglights in on mine? I haven't looked too see how that grill part pops out or have to be cut out where foglights go if not stock. Yes im a pain in the azz for the past week because I have a lot of questions and seek knowledge of these vehicles because I just bought the 07 and I'm very good at mechanics but like to know ahead of time what im getting myself into if its worth it or not. It's hard for me to leave stock alone lol Well also its not a new vehicle so things do need to be replaced

Not sure when the fog light placement was changed. My 07 the fog lights are turned on by pulling the headlight button out. The same one you twist to turn the headlights on pulls straight out from the stalk to turn the fogs on.
Where abouts in central NY are you ?? I'm in Weedsport & Syracuse daily.

I bought the OEM kit (including the stalk for the switch ArtO mentions) and put them in myself. Not hard at all. I ordered the kit from Steve White Motors for about $175 as I recall. If you're at all handy you could easily do it in an afternoon. :)

Rome. Come to think about my buddy has a 05 kj limited and his fog lights are in the bumper so its still there in 05. Ok so now I know where the stock fog lights switch is. I was looking all over dash and was like where do they put it because no empty buttons or dummy buttons or holes anywhere so that's why, its where lights are you pull out. Also mine has daytime running lights, and all the kj's I see they don't have daytime running lights, maybe that started in 07 and everyone I see are older. Like I said about grill cover for fog lights hole I didn't check yet but was wondering if those holes that have grill cover slots in them just pull out or I have to saw them out to put fog lights in. Probably just be easier to run wiring instead of messing with lights lever and other things to make it stock form but not decided on which way yet. I still have to measure and look for what foglights I want. Any of you know what size foglights fit in there?

Thanks that guide will come in handy. The guide says 06 so 06 is when they switched fog lights position

You can unclip the plastic grill very easily with your bare hands. Just go around the top and look for the places where it clips on. Once that is off I think you'll have a pretty easy time figuring out where to go from there if you choose not to go the OEM route. :)

My 07 does not have daytime running lights. Just for the record. Never heard of them on the KJs.
The easiest install I ever did with aux lights was on my 02 WJ. I used a relay with a wireless remote. No wires to run through the firewall. Everything was under the hood and a small fob to turn them on & off. The remote kit costs all of $17 or $18 on Amazon.

Just for reference, our red 05 on left has the fogs in the grill
The green 03 has them in bumper ( or does now since I installed them
02-04 are the same, 05-07 the same as far as grills/ turn signals/ bumpers etc ( well unless you have an 05 plus Renegade)..........

You could visit a wrecking yard and pull the foglights off of another 07 complete with a partial wiring harness. Rather than replacing the stalk switch just wire up a switch on the dash.
That's what I'd do.

Sell him the parts if he wants them. Don't wait on me I don't know which route im going yet. Weird about the daytime running lights. Maybe a late year model thing. Like I said I see kj's all over and don't see daytime running lights except mine and since mine is last year of that model I thought maybe just 07's. Maybe late model year then. My buddy told me his is 05 kj and fog lights in bumper. Maybe late model year for them in 05 to be in grill with other lights also.
