Hello Everyone,

i bought a jeep liberty 2003 sport edition, and i noticed that it doesn't have the "smart" interior dome light (the one with the screen), it only contains normal lights, is it possible to replace it with the "smart" one, if yes can you show me a detailed guide, and where to buy the items from, please take care I'm from middle east Lebanon, not all the companies ship to here, thank you.

This link might help a bit, but not sure about where to buy parts though:

Installing an OTIS

Your first post too, Welcome!

Thank you, i'm just wondering which one i should buy, the OTIS or the EVIC or the EVIC+PSI , i think i have the Premium BCM because
i have Fog Lights but i don't have Keyless Entry (actualy i have my own alarm system which is COBRA) or Steering wheel mounted radio controls.

he means by fog lights the lights below the normal lights right ? not the lights on the roof right?

Note: i don't have a vent.
so what would you suggest ?

I only have experience with the one I have which is the EVIC. Never really play with it much. I use the Homelink and it usually stays on compass/temp. Occasionally I'll put it on MPG but it usually differs from the calculated value. I don't have the TPMS. I wish I did have this feature so the PSI version would be nice to me.

I guess by vent you mean sun/moon roof. Therefore you'd want to make sure that area is covered in whatever model you choose.

I'd go with the EVIC/PSI if I were starting from scratch but remember to use the Tire Pressure system you'd have to get the valve stem units to do so.

Okay thank you for the help, i will look through it, i'm just kind of afraid to cut the roof and play around with the car electricity, because i'm not skilled enough and i don't think mechanics here are too, do you think it worth the upgrade ?

I'd say it's worth the upgrade. Even though I don't play with mine often I find mine very useful for the compass and temp feature. I really miss it in other vehicles I have.

There is a lot of information here on how to do it. Study it and YOU can be the one with the high knowledge. :waytogo:
