If you see an airbag warning light, BAIL OUT!!!!

Just kidding, but I'd stop driving ASAP and take it to someone qualified to work on air bags. That's one system I don't f**k with.

We KJ owners better make sure we're up-to-date with our tuck-'n-roll technique, eh?

Can you imagine blowing down the freeway at 80 when your airbag decides to punch you in the dome?

we just got the notice in the mail from chrysler for our 02, saying there are issues with the airbags.

Really? Ya think? it rolled twice, and they never deployed.

Got my letter about 2 weeks ago. No parts available yet, will get another letter when parts are out to fix.

I was notified about this by my dealer and immediately called to schedule an appointment to get it fixed. I was told that, while there is a recall on the airbag controller, there are no replacement parts to fix it. They said they'd notify me when the new part is available.

Got mine done this morning. The fix involves a wiring harness in the center console, and in some cases they will also need to replace the transfer case switch, depending on the results after the wiring harness repair.

I have a note saying that I can schedule an appointment for them to do the recall... but I've either needed the KJ during their business hours, or it's been in the driveway for repairs.

Just got he recall on mine. I guess I need to get it in..... It has never been the the dealership. It makes me a little nervous. I just don't trust them.

I'm tempted to just not do it. We'll see once Eugene is back on the road... my work schedule is slowing down for the winter, so now would be a better time to do it.
