Don't know why but I think some amber marker lights would look good mounted on the roof. Has anyone done this? Is it possible to do? I searched google and didn't find anything about it. Thoughts anybody?

I think it'd be awesome I thought about this too. Anything is possible. I just don't think its possible to do without drilling holes in your roof.

They should be here tomorrow, this weekend Im gonna try and get them installed and hooked up. I want to try and tap into the factory running lights so they all switch on with normal running lights instead of having a separate switch.

ive never thought of this on my kj, but it would look nice if done right. im still trying to decide on mounting the led light bars under the dash for floor lights.

If you're doing the front have to do ones in the back as well!
Plus need them rigged on a trigger switch so you can blink those off and on by themselves
Then start adding more chicken lights :roflsquared:

I had thought about it at one time, but was going to use the Maxxima M20311R for the rear and M20311Y for the front
Smaller light and looks good

The are not running lights. They are DOT clearance lights. Normally on a 3/4 or larger pick-up that tows or plows. Or a chassis cab that will be a box truck. A factor tow or plow package would have them. Any thing that makes it wider.

...Then start adding more chicken lights...

How about sticking a 4th of July sparkler on each side mirror? Maybe even a pair of roman candles. Bet the traffic ahead of me would clear out in a hurry if they saw that coming.

Ill see how I like them before I mount them up obviously, if they end up being too big I will get something different. I like the teardrop look tho, where on the rear are you talking about mounting them Tom?

One on each corner right behind the rails almost and 3 in the center spread out over an area about 7 -8 inches wide
or
just one on each corner
I've held other lights I have around here in that area at night and they look pretty good.

I did the dash lighting. It's really easy!

To the OP: Post up some pictures before you mount them so we can throw in our opinions (that is, if you want our opinions!!)

If you're going to do it, then do it right ,
one on each corner and then the other three grouped in the center, and none up closer to the windshield than the others
Go with the curvature of the roof
