Hi All
Just need some thoughts on what may be causing a knocking sound under my KJ.
I am hearing a knocking sound particularly at speeds 60kph + and can feel the knocks through the footwell. It happens mostly when I am accelerating and slacks off when no gas is being applied. It is not a rythmic knocking, but more of a random (yet constant) knocking. The knocking is heard when travelling in a straight line.
I do have a stiffer suspension on the jeep so do feel the bumps in the road more than a standard kj would, but this knocking occurs even on a perfectly flat and smooth road and it seems to slowly be getting worse.
Any thoughts? Propshaft issue perhaps?
