I think they would move some of those. Doesn't look bad. Have to drop the price in half though. Most folks in the market for Wranglers I think would want the back seat. I suppose you could bolt one on back there as needed.

I saw one come out on the ice at a hockey game. Looks hacked really. Just not a lot of class IMO. For 50 gs you could do way better. The tire looks stupid hanging on the gate.
These are my opinions though, just thought I'd add.

And there's no surprise they want $50k... What do you guys think??

I remeber talking about this "kit" on the Random thread a while ago. They sell that back window-piece for about $800 for the 2-door wrangler. That one may be completely custom, but there's a much easier/cheaper way to get the same result.

Of course, I still want this thing manufactured...

That's like the RubiTrux. I saw an ad somewhere a year or two ago for a dealer in SC or NC or something that was making them. One even made it's way down here! I'm not a huge fan, the roof is too high and the spare looks awkward. I still think it's a cool idea though.

A local dealer near me has one. I glanced at it real quickly and the p/u body is a kit and I think it said $12K for the kit plus the lift and tires and wheels for more $$ plus the cost of the jeep to begin with and it was over 50K also. Had custom seats in it too. But after I saw the price I lost interest.

I've seen a few unlimited TJs done to look like the old Scramblers that look better and for much cheaper.

The issue really becomes where to put the spare tire. As Rockymountain noted, it does look kinda odd sticking to the tailgate. But if you put it inside the box, it defeats the purpose of having the cargo room.

The spare reminds me of the M1152 we use--probably why it doesn't bother me so much. The spare is kind of a pain, you have to crank it up and down to swing it away to open the gate. Those 37x12.5R16.5s are heavy though!
