Speaker Question

Hey I was driving the other day listening to some music on the radio and I wondered if the two little speakers on top of the dashboard/front window defroster are working or not? It’s hard to tell because the speakers on the front doors are so loud and you can’t put your ear up to them because the window is there.

Is there anyway I can tell?

Lean forward while you are driving and you should hear sound coming from the front dash. The tweeters were only installed with the Infinity system though so if you don't have that, than there is no tweeter installed in the dash.

really? mine does not have infinity system and had tweeters on the dash

nope....came that way stock. i did swap them out for components tho.

Wow.. That's interesting. Did the tweeters become standard after a certain model year? Oh well - the best way to hear for noise from the tweeter is to lean forward still.

My '05 Renegade has the tweets without the Infinity system. So, like I said, kill the bass, crack the treble and listen for tinny noise coming from the dash.

I think they did, I have them on a pretty basic 06.
And you should be able to hear them by just leaning forward a bit, they are pretty easy to hear.
