This seems to be a reason why my libby has a problem at times getting from 2wd to 4wd. This is a picture of the linkage from the 4wd shift lever into the transfer case. It will slip off as it is missing a bushing. Can someone tell me what is missing and how I can get it. I'm thinking a junk yard if anything 'cause the only other way is to buy it is purchase the entire linkage for alot of $.

Can anyone take a picture of their part. It is at the front of transfer case, (driver side) near the cv joint.

Thanks

I'd take a pic, but I think since I have Selec Trac, it's different.

Thanks guys...TBJ I went on the link, looks similar but doesn't seem exact. Something needs to hold that nipple in place. Maybe I just need to see a pictures.

It's a circular clip that holds a plastic bushing in there.
Will insert card into the camera and take a pic later if the driveway dries out

Never seen that on mine. Must be because the NP 242 uses a different mechanism.

Good looking nipple!! It is difficult to tell how it is held on, anyway to get the camera up in there as I did to see it straight on.

I fixed mine with a 2 washers and a cotter pin... the ones that slip on and a kind of 'curvy'... damn, my mind went blank... sorry

Good Idea. I figured I could do somthing like that, but seems as though it will still move around without a bushing....but good thing is it would not come out and the lever would operate correctly.
