My general rule of thumb is 2 hi unless the ass end breaks loose, then it's 4 hi on everything but steep hills or rocks where I need to creep.

ThunderbirdJunkie never uses 4hi unless there's deep snow.

The two main transfer case positions used are 2hi and 4low

Drove concrete trucks, most probs with trans where caused by drivers using HI instead of low. I use Hi to go up gravel drive at road speeds, low when we get serious.

So it is Selec-Trac in my Liberty, but there has been so many posts regarding proper gear selections. When is the correct time to use each 4HI, 4PT 4Lo?

My wifes Jeep has Selec-Trac in it, and I told her that it's OK to use 4FT when she doesn't know what the conditions will be like, 4 HI when she knows that the conditions will be slick/rough/muddy or anything concidered off road and 4 lo if you have slip and you're already in 4HI/FT.
