I want to add an EVIC to my 06 and wanted to make sure an 04 liberty evic would fit in and wire up and read everything correctly?
Also the nice one i found cheap, has sunroof controls which i don't have a sunroof would this just make the button not work or would it cause problems?
Thanks!

You can make the button not work. It's completely seperate from the EVIC electronics.

I believe the 2004 will work fine on your 2006. The only thing I am unsure of is when they started TPMS. If the 2004 EVIC has it, and your KJ doesn't, it'll keep warning you about low tire pressure. From what I hear, it can be very annoying.

Yep, if you buy an EVIC from an 04 model year your going to want one of the two models..

I don't see the model numbers for the 05-07 model years online anywhere, but you are going to want to avoid TPMS models unless you plan on buying everything to make that work.

Hi there!
Just checked your link. The one you are looking over ebay does not have the TPMS.

You can not add a '05 or newer TPMS to your Jeep unless you are willing to pay REALY REALLY B I G $$$$. The reason is the system was changed in '05 A '06 Liberty that did not come with TPMS will need wirring in both front fenders and rear bumper and triggers to pick up the signal from the TPMS stem valves.

If you want TPMS you can try a '04 or newer EVIC, since those have the entire TPMS module incorporated within the evic unit and therefore does not require any additional wiring. You will only have to buy the valves.

I'm sure that a '03 or newer EVIC otherwise work but will not display the following things when hooked up in your '06 :
Ambient air temperature
Rear doors open
Window gate open
Swing gate open
instant MPG

Hope this helps
