Interesting. The picture seems to be an example of exactly when that vehicle wouldn't need extra traction. I'm wondering how it works in really difficult terrain, like slippery mud during a downpour.

That traction aid could only be useful to you if you put it down before you go into shallow mud because once you get in and get stuck it will do you little good. It's really only a cheap bridge.
