I was thinking about a performance chip. Who has added one and how do you like it. Is it easy to install?

For the diesel engine? I have a Ferrita on mine. Gives 184 bhp instead of 163. Torque is 440 Nm instead of 400.
Not much, maybe. But it feels like the Jeep is about 300 kg lighter.
0-60 mph goes 2 secunds faster. (What will I do whith all the time I can save???)
Fuel consumtion is no different, maybe due to the driver...

Rear tire consumtion is 15% more...

If you really need the power and torqu, buy one. If you looking for better fuel economy, don´t buy one. Use your money wiser. (You WILL hit the pedal to the floor).

Bad thing whith the chip trim:
1. The airmass sensor on the air intake will have to be cleaned more often.
2. The idle may sometime be strange.
3. Rear tire wear out faster. No problem whith burnout on dry asfalt.'
4. Brakes wear out faster.

Good thing:
1. It´s fun.

That is my experions whith the Ferrita Diesel trim.

Oh, sorry... How to install:
1. Take off the oil cap.
2. Snap off the plastic junk that cover the engine. (Throw that away).
3. Get the oilcap back.
4. Take apart one connector on the air intake. (The bottom part of the red ring in the picture)
5. Connect the cables from the trim chip.
6. Turn ignition on, whithout starting the engine, for two minutes. (One minute whith manual transmision).
7. Start the engine, and let the fun begin. It takes about 6 miles drive for the system to fully learn in the new parts.

Total time, less than a minute.

Here you can see the cable from the trim chip. Just below the red ring.
The red ring locates the air mass messurement sensor, or what the name might be.

No, no chip for me, I was going to buy that Stage II that was up for sale, but missed it. I got all the resources for a true dual exhaust, except both out the same side (R)... There is no room to run another pipe out the left side for an EVEN pipe length. They both have to come up the right side, then the left would have to run behind the diff and out, making that one a longer run, and not good for the left bank. I do not have a center CAT, just one on each manifold, so TRUE duals are possible. If side pipes were legal on this, I could do that no problem... In PA, The side pipes have to exit out past the last passenger compartment. We have pickups here with stacks up through the bed, they seem to be legal somehow...

I can still run the true duals, maybe, for L/R, if I have a crossover pipe put in somewhere to even pressure for both banks, but, the output at that left pipe would still be less than then right side. OR just put both banks into one 4" single pipe run, then out the back... My guy has a muffler shop, and has done all kinds of work for me. I was the only Geo Tracker in my area with dual exhaust, and almost QUAD exhaust... One separate pipe for each port... He can make custom exhaust manifolds too...

We are working on three designs, so, we'll see...

Yeah, I think I remember tjkj saying he was running the stage II chip and it was better than the stage I. Not positive. Hopefully he will see this and chime in and tell you how it is.
