I'm about to tint the front windows and have a question regarding the removal of the front window rubber.
When removing the drivers and passengers side window rubber and inside window squeegee (Rubber trim that is clipped to door frame/door panel)
Once removed, is it just a simple "push to fit" to replace or do I need to purchase new clips from a dealership?
I'm looking at the FSM section (BODY/WEATHERSTRIP/SEALS/FRONT DOOR
OUTER BELT MOLDING - REMOVAL)

Make sure you clean the windows(with the correct cleaner of course) before you roll the windows down(after the wait period). First time I rolled mine down it sucked the rubber down into the door since the tint was sticky with soap from the install. Didnt know what was going on at the time.

Why do you need to remove anything to tint the windows? Just lubricate it well enough and it will slide right in. And then I hope you have tinters squeegy or whatever that thing called, you can simply stick that in. When they tinted my window he didn't remove anything.

PS: Aren't there any tinters up there?

Yeah, I had a tape too, but mine said 48 hours.. I rolled it down after 72 hours, no problems, bubbles, etc..

I went to install the window tint on my Jeep but I thought I'd try it on a spare automotive window that was at the same temperature as the windows in the Jeep...
No go!
It was just too hot for a professional finish!
44 degree Celsius = 111.2 degree Fahrenheit in my yard.
I will have to wait until it cools down outside.
My practise window just rippled and shrunk and looked bad.
Oh well, such is life.
