So a friend of mine Photoshopped this since I was inept at making it look halfway decent, and I thought it looked kind of neat. Obviously it'd look different in real life since it wouldn't be all greyed out, but it matches the grill and bug shield pretty good. I'm wondering how much something like this would cost to do in real life. I think it'd look neat.

A few people did similar works, some used liners, some used different type of coating materials, so basically it costs the number of cans of the product you pick to coat the area with.

I really like that 2 tone paint color combo. Also it would be real unique. I guess you could print the picture and take it over to a couple of body shops and price it out.

I think it looks great.

I plan to follow in TJKJ's footsteps once the KJ is looking shabby and line-x the bumpers, flares, and those lower portion of the vehicle.

Haha yeah the khaki kind of changes colors depending on the light--sometimes it looks kinda pinkish, other times it's silvery, and at night under the parking lot lights it looks gold lol. But as for the paint job, I'd probably have it done like the grille and clearcoated so it would match. I'm not sure whether I'd leave the silver on that center section of the bumper or not, or whether I'd leave the trim along the doors tan like it is now. I just kind of wanted to see what it would look like xD

This is what I have planned for my KJ once I save up some $$$$$$$$ the only thing that my after shot does not show for I was unable to photoshop them in are the ARB front Bumper and Rock Lizard rear bumper along with the renegade light bar.

What do you all think about it with a couple of racing stripes added down the center?

I like the silver center....makes it look unique.

I like the stripes...but maybe start them on the hood, not the grill.:D

I like those rims.

BTW, Is it a 4x4??? Can't see the badges....:)

That was my thought also to start the stripes at the base of the hood and leave the grille all silver I just could not decide if I should take them all the way down or not.

Nope not 4x4 sadly she is just 2wd but I don't take it off road much anyway so that has not mattered for it spends most of it time on the highway anyway and she has been able to accomplish what off-roading that I do but I want it to look like a tough off-roader!

Hmm...I don't really like the stripes personally, just because they're usually reserved for cars that are superpowered, etc. imo. I like the bottom though =P

I agree. The stripes make it look like a "rally car" or "race car" or something, which it is not. It looks out of place to me on the KJ.

I do really like the looks of the paint scheme on the original pic. You should do it.

Just my opinion.

Add some hood scoops and a turbo and maybe the stripes will fit in.. lol

But seriously, i don't think stripes look good on a SUV or Truck, they just don't seem to belong there.

I love the paint plan otherwise, the two tone should have been a factory option like that with all the guys doing it.

The more that I have thought about it the more I am starting to agree with the above posts and have decided to axe the stripes it was just a thought that I had while photoshopping and thought hmmm I wonder. :)

Just got the jeep back from the exhaust place where I had my new exhaust put on which is my first upgrade I guess it is all down hill from here. :D
