I have a 02 Liberty Sport and I wanted to do some interior upgrades. There is a salvage yard near me that has some 07 leather seats and I was thinking about swapping them out because I hate my stained cloth seats. I read on the forums here that the later model libertys had less padding in the seats so am I better off just getting quality leather seat covers for my current seat or replacing the seats all together? I wouldnt want to replace the seats if they are going to be less comfortable(less padded) then what I currently have.
Also my car has power nothing inside and I recently added door actuators to at least get power locks and keyless entry. I was thinking about buying the lighted visors and the rear view mirror that auto dims from the 07liberty at the junkyard. Would it be a PITA to install those since I'm guessing there is no power running up that way in my truck now?

Sit in junker, are they something that youd want to sit in for extended period of time? If not would they look better?

If you're going to get the junkyard (salvage) leather seats, IMO at LEAST grab some from an '02 - '04 so they will match. That "Medium Slate Gray" won't look right with your "Dark Slate Gray" interior.

They would definately look better and I did sit in them but I couldnt feel a whole lot of difference. I was just basing it on what other people posted about there being more padding.. but it wasnt like a huge difference at least to me.

Your right about the gray being a lot lighter... never thought about that... would they contrast that much?

Would anyone happen to know about the visor and the rear view mirror... would it be hard to install those into my truck since I dont have any power running up that way?

IF the wires are not already there (Sometimes they are), You'll have to run some wires down the A-Pillar. That's about it. It's not hard to grab power in the Libby, PLENTY of wires are available over in that area.

OK thanks that makes me feel a bit better, sounds like it might not be too difficult.
