I didn't realize the Jeeps have the integrated key and fob. I am looking at getting either an '05 or an '06 - I assume these are the same way?
I'm curious to know, do the Jeeps require a specific key to work, or can a general old-fashioned metal key work to unlock the doors and start the car? I ask because most likely I'll end up having a remote starter installed at some point, and with my current car, I haven't used the stock key fob in over 5 years. The car has no theft deterrent system though ('99 Grand Prix, no passkey in it).
