I am trying to detail the inside of my liberty and for the life of me can not figure out how to remove transfer case knob so I can clean the leather boot and underneath where grime has built up. Any ideas?

There's a snap on the bottom side of the shift lever handle for the boot. You undo that snap, and the boot pulls right out of the console

Not sure how to remove the handle itself.

I don't even bother taking it off. If you just engage the handle you should be able to easily get at every inch of the leather. At least I can.
