hey guys.

just wondering...i have seen a few ways to lift the kj - spacers, OME, clevis lifts etc- doesnt anyone make extended forks for the kj? (i mean clevis forks)

as far as i can see- on the grand cherokee its quite a popular way to lift

or maybe....cause jeeps are kind of like LEGO.....does the clevis fork from another model fit?

The kk clevis is longer by .75 or an inch I can't remember
But it's only one year of kk that has compatible clevis.

Any year kk clevis will work. The cast clevis is very tight to get on the LCA mount.i have a set of 2009 clevises on mine. The 2011 is a stamped metal clevis and is Easier to get on.
And they are just shy of a .5 inch longer.( Translates to almost an 1 inch of lift) Yes the whole front shock assembly off a kk and a nitro will bolt right up. Same top mount same shock. But they use a lighter coil spring.

I see that the 2008 and 2011 indeed have different part numbers-

and one is cast-and the other is stamped.

i guess im gonna go with whatever i find at a braker's yard....

but - are the 2008 and the 20011 clevis forks the same length? or is the difference only in the ease of the install?

Different lengths between years
and those things on Efay look like crap
Everyone seems to think it a end all using the clevis from some years of KKs .
Don't really see the big deal you can only go so high anyways and by the time you buy the KKs clevis you have more money tied up than before

Running the cast KK forks here. It helped increase the overall strut length for my cradle drop.

Assuming you replace the KJ fork with a KK on a 3" JBA/OME lifted Libby, what would be required in the rear in order to keep the truck straight angle (not rake backwards)?

in my case? - nothing. my rear is 1 inch higher than my front. looks like a 70's muscle car with its rear jacked up in the air...LOL. you can see in the picture with my kid- this is how it looks now. on the other picture- is how it looked on the day of the install - all tall and proud.

You're also going to have all kinds of spring/UCA contact plus more CV wear ( mostly boots rubbing together and wearing out
Just a heads up when you get up over 3.25-3.5
Been there done that , not worth it in the long run unless you go JBA coilovers

I get no UCA contact on my 4" lift.

In case nobody mentioned it, kk stamped clevis also fits. This is probably the one that has different part number. Its 3/8" longer like the other kk forged steel clevis.

You need shorter bolt to go on lca since this one is thinner.

This is part of 4" lift on mine. 3/8" longer clevis fork and 3/8" clevis space lift.
