Hello,
I've done a lot of research on this and I haven't found anything that makes me comfortable moving forward.
I'd like to add an AUX input to my factory '07 RBQ head unit. It has Sirius (apparently), but I do not and will not ever use it. I took the HU out and took pictures, attached.
My best guess is that I can unplug the 10 pin adaptor and use one of the conversion units like this (click). However, when I sent a request to Logjam, they said it wouldn't work with my HU as described. I feel like they just don't know for sure.
Can anyone give me a definitive recommendation?
Barring that (or it even might be a better solution as it would be cheaper), does anyone have experience with splicing into the 10 pin connector? I found this (click) schematic and am tempted to splice into pins 1, 6, and 7, but I'd be more comfortable if someone said "yeah, I did that and it works fine".
Thanks for any help,
Toni
