I saw 1 on a auto hauler when I was in Illinois 2 weeks ago for my bachelor party.....My dad works at the Belvidere assembly plant that makes those, and said they are just about ready to start those on the line out there.....but as of 2 weeks ago when I saw him, he said they haven't had the line putting those out yet.

Sweet, an insider. What are his thoughts on the Compass?

Well, he's just pretty darn busy....I think he said they are 50,000 orders down for the caliber and compass combined.....I guess the word at the plant is that they expect to sell more patriots than compasses because the patriot is "closer to what a jeep should be"

Yay. Sorry, but I was kinda hoping the Compass wouldnt sell well to remind Jeep of their place in the auto market.

Heh... Patriot spotted on North I-75 on a truck loaded with Calibers and Compasses... or Compi?

For some strange reason, it looks HUGE in person.

Well rather, just larger than the C&C.

It looks pretty nice, but I still think I'd rather go the direction of the four door Wrangler if I were to get rid of the KJ anytime soon.

Someone stop me from getting one of these. I'll have some real credit by then and may want to buy. Gotta fix that dent on my hood though for lease turn in.

If my sister keeps her KJ, I'll keep mine... I hope.

This is by far my favorite picture of the Patriot.

Not a fan of the dash area, that extends from windshield inwards... I am so used to not having that space wasted in my KJ, it looks ugly to me.
But this jeep is well balanced and looks tidy :)

I like it!! Does anyone know how much they are going to be??
I am not too sure on the compass. I don't like how the back doors open.. well I mean where the handles are.

It should be around the same price as the Compass.... however the Patriot will have one extra option the Compass can only dream of... Freedom Drive II. I'm sure that will cost extra, lol.

Isn't the Patriot even less capable offroad than our Libeties?

Depends. They should be close when it comes to angles, with the exception of the approach angle... that much it can't help simply because it's a FWD vehicle.

Liberty Running Ground Clearance: 9.4"
Patriot (ORP) Running Ground Clearance: 9.0"

However, its Breakover and Departure angles are better than a Liberty.

However it does have IRS...

But who cares, they're all Trail Rated (If Equipped Properly).
