Hey gang. Advice requested for our 2008 Libby Ltd 153k. Yesterday driving in fwy 70 mph started to get a flashing check engine light, and running rough. White exhaust w/ fuel smell. Pulled off. And waited at In & Out for tow home. Today read codes P0175 (bank 2) and P0300. Non pro level basic obd2 scanner only btw. Odd thing yesterday it would crank and then start. Today starter wont spin.

Originally i thought maybe fuel pump? But i swear i hear it through filler neck. The starter issue reminds me of past tipm struggles.

Any advice on where to start?

For the starter, I'd check the relays and fuses. For the random misfire code and running rich code, check the air filter and maybe even the crankshaft position sensor. If you can fix the no crank issue, run some injector cleaner in the gas as well. And depending how long it's been since the last time it's been done, maybe replace the spark plugs and ignition coils

Relays and fuses all check good. Plugs and coils were done about 15k ago. Im hoping to borrow a pro level scanner that may give more insight. We had a TIPM on issue a little while back which had a similar starter issue. Dx continues.

Looks like a failed injector. Cylinder 4. All passed compression test Get it back this weekend.
Ah. Injectors are always so much fun. When I was troubleshooting my misfire a few months back, I swapped 2 injectors but ended up pinching the o ring when reinstalling it. Ended up spraying gas all over the inside of my engine bay.

Done the same. I know the pain.

Also. Ordered an obd2 bluetooth scanner that supports JScan. Hopefully itll give me better details than old plug and play w/ generic codes. If i had gotten p0304 instead of multiple p0300, i could’ve saved some hassle. Live & Learn.

My p0420 code was actually because my car was running lean so when I replaced my fuel pump for a different issue, it fixed my cat code. Even my in depth scanner couldn't tell the difference

Update: Jeep running well. No hesitation or CELs. I also bought a bluetooth OBD scanner and have JSCAN app for IOS available.

Livedata shows multiple misfires, on different cylinders. No CEls. Nothing noticeable while driving. See pix. Anyone have an idea on what causes these Ghost misfires??? Plus a fun mileage pic from this morning’s drive.
