also for the lift i think im going to go for the jba 2.5 in lift or the ironman i was looking at tommudds budget lift but i'm not sure it that will be too high and make more body roll at 3.5 in of lift cuz i kinda like treating like its a sports car while driving it on the road

Body roll is bad either way, any lift is going to make that kind of driving pretty dangerous. But if you really want a lift i would go with the iron man. You can ad top plates and a clevis lift up front and extra isos on the rear, but you would have to get long shocks in the back if you ad the extra iso. I learned that the hard way, well not really hard but it cost me another $200 to get longer ome shocks.

I wish i was your age and knew everything I know now.... I wouldn't drive like an idiot like I did when I was younger.

I'm only 17 and I know not to drive like a fool, whenever my dad would ride with me he'd start yelling at me if i did something stupid.

I try to tell my friends that they're going to ruin they're cars/trucks but they don't listen and act like they know everything, thinking they're invincible. I know I'm not from way too many close calls :uhoh2:

I wasn't trying to imply that you didnt know how to drive. I was saying I DID drive like an idiot when I was young. I went through an 84 camaro and a 95 camaro before I turned 22. At that time I only had half the points left on my license and I had wasted all my money on rims, k&n intakes, short throw shifters, and speakers that would flip a quarter on my roof.

So trent.brown, have you decided on a lift?

I went with the OME/Bilstein setup last summer using the 790s up front because of the ARB and winch. I installed it in my driveway and the hardest part was finding a place to align it....

also for the lift i think im going to go for the jba 2.5 in lift or the ironman i was looking at tommudds budget lift but i'm not sure it that will be too high and make more body roll at 3.5 in of lift cuz i kinda like treating like its a sports car while driving it on the road

Remember, even with the 1.5 in OME springs, you will get alot more out of it than 1.5 in. Also with the clevis and top plate "extras" I ended up at over 3 in total lift over stock.

Any SUV or Jeep is more prone to rolling, just the nature of the beast. Drive it like its a jeep... offroad. (mud)

No just further explaining before more questions were asked
some never read only ask ya know

Ya know ive heard of this tale passed down generation to generation. It speaks of a magical text input line, that when words or questions are typed in, it shows you all sorts of things related to it. Scholars have been trying to translate for decades and the closest they can get is the word "search". They have top scientists from all over the world working out the meaning. Hahah not trying to be mean just thought that was funny

I meant to ask op if he decided lol. I was going to do mi e in my drive way but a friend works for the town doing pm's on the cop cars so i went there after hours. The lift made everything so much easier. 30min on the rear and 45min on the front. Why did u have trouble finding a place to do an alignment?

Most places wouldn't touch it with the lift, they said they would only set it to the stock adjustments. I had to take it to a place that specialized in lifted vehicles even though I knew what numbers I wanted.yupnope.gif All in all I think I went to about 5 or 6 different places.

Thats weird i had no problems finding a place to do it. Goodyear, firestone, sts all could do it. The tough thing was finding a cheaper place, all of them wanted $95 to do an alignment. Finally found a smaller shop that only charges $70. I was a little skeptical about using him but hes an ase master tech and front end specialist, had it done in 15 minutes and it rolls straight as an arrow.

Yes and for a bit more $ you can squeeze a little bit more out of it if you get extra rear isos and throw 3 2" conduit nuts per side on the clevis. You should sit at right around 22" all the way around (wheel center to flare) after everything settles in.
