Since I have only 5 months left on the powertrain warranty, I thought I would get your opinions if this engine clicking noises are normal or in need of taking apart. Engine has 37,000 miles and all full dealer service records.
When cold it is quiet with no noticeable tapping, however when warm, it gets louder.
After a good highway run, it is really noticeable.

Video 1 is when cold at first start up. Click on image to hear video.

Ya 61,000 km and it is ticking pretty good when hot. I am going to take it in for a rad flush and let dealer look at it and see what they say.
I would hate to be on a trail if one of the rockers lets go,...hopefully not. Just want to make sure it is making normal ticking not something loose.
It seems to be coming from drivers side, so they should pull the cover and inspect it.

I had it in at dealer, they did an oil change and then listened to it again. They said it was fine, that there will be some valve noise, as long as it it relatively quiet ticking.
If it is a louder clacking/clanking, repairs will be in order. (next we will talk about ducks and quacking)screwy.gif
They used an auto stethoscope which helps to isolate the sound, as there is a mixed noise under the hood, from the injectors. (clicking)
