2007 Jeep Liberty Sport got the car free and it needed a new radiator and water pump which is out of my skill set so a "friend of a friend" said he would help. We removed the radiator and water pump and were going to finish at a later time. The person just disappeared so I decided to give it a shot, I realized later that he removed the transmission oil cooler and my question is how to put the hoses back into the cooler ? In one of the pictures there are 2 hoses circled and my guess is the hose on left goes into the top piece of cooler ? Hope I made sense, any help would be appreciated. Thanks !

Is this a power steering oil cooler or transmission oil cooler?

On KJs, the transmission cooler is usually in the radiator with connectors in one side or in front of radiator across roughly lower 1/3 of radiator. Pretty sure the photo is the power steering fluid cooler. The tubes on the cooler have been crushed at the tips and bent, very possibly may leak even if you straiten them to get hose on and fluid flow. I would replace it.
