Transmission and AC cooler

I recently put a transmission cooler kit on my 2010 jeep liberty. Because the line connection at the cooler was loose and oil was coming out.
But I read the transmission cooler and AC cooler are all the same radiator unit. I was wondering if that would affect the AC at all? As it is not blowing out cold air this spring. When I tried it.

Or maybe the AC low on freon?
