I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited. I was just wondering If it is even possible to trade an automatic trans for a manual transmission. Is it worth it? Is it expensive? What would be needed for the swap?

I'd say buying a manual jeep and selling the automatic would probably be a net gain.

Not really. These aren't new anymore...each one you buy is a risk vs. what you know.


Manual swap will require complete engine harness swap, pedal assembly swap, master, slave, trans, flywheel, clutch assembly, both driveshafts, the floor shifter plate, manual center console and boot, and a whole bunch of patience. Depending on spline of manual vs. auto, it could need a tcase too
