Hey people! Those of you in BC lower mainland looking for a trak lok lsd. Empire Auto has a couple vehicles with them in it. While they aren't perfect, a little rebuild will have them working much better than open diff. Just in time for winter offroad and ice fishing season:cool:

Careful what you pay for it.

If ours came with an open diff, I'd have installed a Lockright.

I'm used to yards that won't let you pull a diff apart. A posi on the shelf often fetches as much as whole rear end.

Watch the ring gear bolt-hole detail (3/8" vs 10mm), or get the r&p also.

Everything is fair game there, except no jacks, grinders and torches. They have some stuff on the shelf, but it's largely a self serve yard. They offer a service to pull what you want as well.

That's a good call if someone needs it, on the ring and pinion. It can make your life easier in same ways, but if you can't do the pinion depth set up, it's likely better to just slap the LSD in. I personally would replace the clutches before it goes in and be on your way. This is best for people who plan to keep their vehicle for long term or who want a fairly cheap boost in traction. There are always better alternatives, but for the price it's good enough.

Also don't forget LSD additive. Mopar little bottle is what you need, but honestly all the domestic LSD additive is the same...... with exception of the ones made by ZF. They get different stuff.
