Tire shop blew up a tire

    sidewall area, the rubber tore away from the metal ring inside the bead and tore the sidewall open making a flap.

    also worth noting they damaged my newly powder-coated finish and the brand new metal valve stem was broken as well.

    they also tried using wd-40 as lube on another one of the wheels, which seems to have permanently discolored the matte black finish.

    A harsh cleaner/degreaser such as Purple Power, Mean Green, etc should cut the WD-40 from the powder coat. Ask the applicator. Idiots choice for bead lube on new tire. (we do sometimes spray PBBlaster on bead/rim area of30-40 year old tractor tires when removing to replace)

    Guys good news i found a place in albany, New York where the laws of physics cease to exist. the first shop said there was absolutely no way to mount these tires.

    the one i just picked them up from did it in under 45 minutes without any explosions or tears in the fabric of space and time.
