As the subject states the past few days the temperature display on my overhead trip console is all over the map for about fifteen minutes, then it will start working again. Never used to do this. Originally it would lock onto the correct temp immediately. Any reason to panic at this point?

If it's the temp sensor does anyone know where it is and how to replace it?

If you are having problems when you initially start using the car, that's kind of normal. I don't know where i read it, but the thermometer isn't always accurate until you've driven 10 to 15 minutes. Now that it's gotten plain hot down here, and my jeep sits in the sun all day, the temp reads 90 something when i get started, then after 10 mins of driving and the air going into the grille, it drops into the 80s where it should be.
