It's a great unit and Panasonic does make good stuff. But Pioneer is so much better and I have a bit of a personal loyalty to them. At that price point, you could get a Pioneer AVIC series, too.

I wish they would slide down and not block the vents.

It looks good, but $1000 and no GPS? Consider adding a bit more to it and getting one with GPS. Crutchfield....

I have the pioneer DVD head unit, and it's great. I would reccomend it over Panasonic.. IMHO I think that Pioneer makes car audio/video products, and they make some other stuff besides that, but in Panasonic, its more home audio/video, then car stuff. That's just my $0.02

Thanks for the options guys, I think Im going to go with HYEDPIN on this one, I never realized it never came with GPS. thanks again
