I was wondering if anybody can tell me the following.
In the sheet metal above the drivers side and passenger front doors, does anybody know if any wiring runs through that area?
I am wanting to install an additional Thule roof rack bar as far forwards towards the "A" Pillar so that I can mount my off road lamps and remote search light.
I want to drill into the the inner door jam, lets say about 9 inches back from the top of the windshield. Then install three 12mm nutserts either side of the Jeep and fasten the modified fit kit brackets with domed Allen head hardware.
Very similar to how a Police Wigwam is mounted.

When i installed my lightbar i did not notice any wiring. There is a crossbeam that goes about the first 6" from the windshield across the roof. If you drill in that area it would be easier to use nutzerts because you cannot get a nut in the crossbeam unless you drill right through the cross beam of course. I drilled through to the outside flange and used bolts so it is secured on that crossbeam better than if i had used nutzerts.
