So I just bought a 04 Libby v6. Recently when from a stop to about 35 mph I get this rubbing squeak sound from the back passenger side. Like my tire is rubbing on something but I checked all seems fine. This happens maybe one time week at random times. Not consistent. I can't recreate it at any time. Sometimes it squeaks if I have another person or some weight in the back other times I'm just in the car. I was thinking wheel baring but that is consistent noise. Do any of you guys have any ideas? I can't take it in unless I know what it could be. Thanks for the help.

My guess would be rear upper control arm (boomerang). Could be other things as well ( lower control arm bushing etc.)

Sway bar also gets really squeaky from time to time, although it is not a rotational noise so maybe not your issue

I had this happen in the front of mine. Couldn't figure it out and it drove me crazy. Then one day I let a friend drive my Jeep and noticed it when he drove past me. Found out some rivets or whatever they are came off of the wheel liners. When it was stopped it looked like it was in it's place like normal but while driving, if the wind was just right it would blow it down and lightly touch the wheel causing the a rotational rubbing noise. Didn't do it all the time either just when the wind and everything hit it just right. I felt stupid it turned out to be something so simple yet releived at the same time.

All my friends/family now have a squeaky sway bar after the lower control arm recall was done. Mine's been squeaking as well since the recall.

If mine is squeaking I wouldn't be able to hear it... It's behind a desk in the garage.

Might want to check the parking brake and brake hardware in the rear.

lca were torqued with axle hanging on lift. loosen and retorque with tires on ground. Its more then likely the one at the body.
