My 07 AC clutch coil went out so I bought a replacement kit off of amazon.

After half an hour of profanities and prying, I managed to get the coil off only to realize it was heled in by a snap ring that I couldn't see. The replacement coil has a flange and no snap ring so I suspect this must be a non-oem compressor.

Any leads on where I can find a clutch kit for a gpd 6512281 compressor? Or am I going to have to replace the whole thing?

Have a search on here, I'm sure I remember someone else having this problem.

Yeah, I've read through a lot of old threads. Seems like they switched to the press fit for 06. Finding the clutch kit for a non-oem compressor seems like a wild goose chase.

I'm guessing my only avenue is to bypass the ac pully and bring it in somewhere to get the freon recovered so I can swap out the compressor?
