I am considering changing out the P225/75R16 OEM Goodyear tires to a better tire such as the Michelin LTX M/S in one size up.
Say P235/70R16 or P235/75R16.
Do you think I will have any rubbing problems.
Our 2008 Liberty is a Sport 4X2.
Thanks for all replys and help.

I wouldnt go up to a 235/75/16 as it may rub, but I have zero experience with a KK.

235/70/16 was a stock size on a kj but idk if it is on a KK.

The 235/70R16 size is also offered on the KK.

225/75R16 is still the smallest size.

Anyone have a KK on 245/70s though on stock rims?!?! :D :D :D Does it make the KK look 10x better as it does with the KJ?

I have the 18 inch Rims and tires on my KK and I know I could go up one size bigger.

Welcome to Jeep KJ Country! (welcome)

You shouldn't have any issues with the 235/70 because, as Marlon already said, they do come stock on the KK.

Although I do have a few tire suggestions for you:

BFGoodrich All-Terrain A/T KO
General Grabbers AT2 (More Aggressive A/T Tire)
Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo
Yokohama Geolander A/T-S
Firestone Destination A/T

If you are looking to "fill the wheel well", then the tire size you have on your Jeep is 29.3 inches in diameter. The 235/70/16 will have a wider tread, but will be slightly less in diameter, approximately 29.0 inches. The 235/75/16 will definitely "fill the well" at 29.9 inches in diameter, but may rub, especially on a two-wheel drive. Just my .02 cents. Good luck with your new ride.

I don't know about the 2008 but the Jeep Liberty brochure for the 2007's had the 2WD ground clearance about .5 inch higher than the 4WD.

The .5" less clearance on the 07 specs is probably considering the same tire size, but a slightly lower front axle shaft or something.
The 08 list the 2x at 8.1" and the 4x at 9.0 (not a lot, no matter how you look at it).

No doubt 245/70-16 will fit w/o rubbing.
It seems that the KK has more clearance than the KK. (Someone on LOST-KJ has fitted 265/75-16 with a minor Revtek lift and claims no rubbing!)
I am interested to know if 245/75-16 will fit on a stock KK.

I have 235/65/17 on my 2008 Liberty Limited. They are Wrangler HT tires. Is this an OEM tire on some of the new Limited's??? I see where some people have SRA's on their's....??????

P245/70/16 fits like a glove

Just got an 09' Sport and put a set of Michelin LTX AT2 P245/70/16 to replace the stock baloney skins.
Fits great, fills the well nice, no rubbing.
