Rear wiper comes on at random.

I was headed to work today, looked in the rearview, and noticed that my rear windshield wiper was in operation. That's funny.... the switch wasn't on. So I fool around with the switch for about a minute, thinking I had it fixed. Until I looked in my rear-view again, and it was again in operation. What on earth would cause this ?? When I got to work, I simply pulled the fuse to keep it from turning on. Any ideas on what would cause this ??

Probably getting grounded from water getting into the tailgate.

Well it did come a ****-floater the other day. You got any suggestions on what to do about this ? It must've rained all night. My floorboards are still wet.

Could also be a faulty multifunction switch.
