We have a 2004 Liberty and have had issues with the rear wiper choosing not to work most of the time...

Lived in Buffalo, NY for many years before coming to PA. There were times when the snow/ice had froze all wipers onto the glass...

Unfortunately, the old lady would forget to knock the wipers loose (especially the rear one) prior to turning on the wiper controls in the cab...

The first time the rear wiper stopped working (two years ago) she assumed that the motor finally kicked the bucket and had it replaced. It worked for a few months before giving up the ghost again...

My questions are:

Does Jeep use a separate control module for the wiper on/off, speed, and delay settings for the rear wiper, or is this done by the main computer?

Could this just be a dirty and/or corroded connector within the rear door that feeds the motor itself?

I would not think the relay that powers the wiper motor would go "bad" and work intermittently would it...?

Anyone else dealt, and/or resolved problems with this wiper?

Any information would prove most helpful... Thanks!

I would personally check to see if you have any voltage at the plug first, or even before that check fuses.

If you have voltage at the plug, try jumping the motor with a 12V source....see if it moves.
