plug adapter/charger

Does anyone know why the cigarette/plug adapter does work when you remote start the Jeep. It seems such a good item to have your Liberty running with the doors locked so you can recharge your cell phone safely. Could the dealer reflash the code to allow the plug to work?

mine stays on all the time. Its a good thing the liberty has a good battery because I leave my Satellite Radio plugged in over night sometimes, and it still cranks over like a champ.

On the '08 it is only on with the ignition, unless you move the fuse in the fuse box to allow it to be unswitched.
