Man. my usual shop wanted $90 an hour to troubleshoot.
Doubt the dealership would be any cheaper.

Still no joy even with the air-con working properly with the required refrigerant.

ok. continuing this thread.
back a few months ago, I changed the fan and fan relay.
towards the end of the summer now and the same melted connector issue.

It is melted around the ground pin.

Went down the check list again and i've concluded that it may be
1. bad connector
2. pcm issue.

Going to do the easiest and cheapest route to replace the connector since it needs replacement anyways and go from there.
Wiring looks fine. voltage drop test looks fine.

yeah. i thought it was still working until the A/C shop tech said the fan wasn't working.
It's been raining here so I haven't been able to button things up yet.

so woke up early AM to get this going, then I got pissed on by rain again.
It let up after an hour.

Everything is wired up. I had the ground wire semi-permanent in case the ground wire is bad. Will make it more permanent after some trials.

Things seem normal at idle so far, will take it out for a drive with me dog after I clean up a bit.

also if anyone is needing to replace the connector w/ a mopar replacement, the wires provided with the connector kit may not be the right AWG.

The cables to the fan should be 14 AWG.
