i used a bluedriver scanner to pull codes
the car pulled two codes, originally. the current code and one indicating solenoid pack was toast. replaced solenoid and the car is still misbehaving minis the solenoid code.
when i first drive the jeep it shifts up fine. after a certain point possibly after the trans has warmed up, shifting back up after a down shift doesnt work. originally i thought it was solenoid because one of the codes indicated it was. made the repair and that code went away but problem still exists.

i did take a look at the wiring running on top of the trans and behind the engine. the sleeve around it flakes off.
thoughts?
