Was throwing the P0440 code. Refilled fuel and reset ecu by disconnecting batt. Code showed up again. Replaced gas cap with new cap. Code went away temporarily then popped up again. KJ drove fine with light on too frustrated to bother with it.. Was in a rush to work yesterday and needed gas. Put some cheap 711 89 low grade gas in a rush. Started KJ up after work last night and threw the P0441 code. KJ shakes lightly as if a cylinder is not firing properly or with full power.. Can cheap gas do this? Any suggestions? And anywhere where I can find a list of engine codes?

A stored code won't be erased from an OBD2 system simply by disconnecting the battery. That way only works with OBD1. You need to clear the code with a scanner, or what I like to use is my laptop. It's possible the cause was the gas cap, as both codes point to that as one of the possibilities. But since the 441 popped up after the fact, it could be the purge system. I'd clear the codes the right way and then see if it comes back.

Thanks a ton.. But what about the small shake in the idle? I can feel the imbalance in the cylinders firing, it's not major but it's definitely noticeable.

The evap system works off of engine vacuum. You may have a split or disconnected vacuum hose, which would affect the evap as well as how the engine runs. You can do a visual inspection to see if there is anything obvious, but often times it takes a smoke test to find the sneaky bugger.
