Hello all!
As some of you know, Overland Expedition Group (Formerly KJ Expeditionary Group) is a team of people wo are dedicated to running vehicle dependant long term expeditions in the name of helping charitable causes at no profit to ANY member.
Overland Expedition Group is a "Non Profit Corporation" based out of Milton Ontario, Canada. We strive to help people and the planet through expeditions dedicated to that specific cause.....purpose planned and outlined for each specific charity we support.
We are currently seeking a PRIMARY sponsor. More specifically, vehicle donations. We require vehicles to conduct these expeditions not only to make our dreams and wishes come true but more importantly those of the charities we support.
With these vehicles we will travel throughout North America on two separate journeys throughout 2007 and 2008. During which time we will stop at key locations based purely on the charity we support to raise funds and awareness.
We are looking for YOUR help to find us the transportation we require to get us around. We have contacted major manufacturers Corporate Marketing branches and are still waiting on replies.
We simply require a small number of vehicles (2-3) that are capable to meet the rigors and endurance requirements to transport us to our destinations. We have contacted, Jeep, Nissan and Toyota.
Our destinations are as follows:
2007 "Red Rock Challenge" : Toronto, ON, Canada - Moab, Utah, USA
- In support of the World Wildlife Fund, the team will traverse the challenging and different eco-systems across North America to view and raise awareness to others the global impact that these areas are facing and what can be done to improve them.
2008 "Halifax to Denali Challenge": Halifax N.S., Canada - Denali N.P. Alaska, USA
- In support of Sick Kids Foundation and World Wildlife Fund. The team will travel the entire length of Canada into Alaska and then return along through the Yukon, North-West and Nunavut territories. All the while raising funds for the two charities. The team is going to undertake a huge endurance challenge to show the dedication to the people they support and want to help.
We need your help. We need the wheels to take us to these amazing places and to provide the help that these foundations need to make our world a BETTER place.
The only thing stopping us from moving forward is transportation....the rest is up and running, the routes, the charities and even some sponsors who have risked coming aboard knowing that we dont have transportation yet.
Those vehicles are our lifeline and that of the people we are helping.
We have only a few requirements of these vehicles.....they are the same color as each other, the same models, and capable of trail riding and manouvering through difficult terrain over long periods of time.....example: We have a section of the route in Yukon Territory that is 500km of "loose surface road".
We have sponsor packages and group overview packages available, to those that are interested, that outline what we can offer in return for donations and sponsorship, and detail the history and the plans of our group.
It should be noted to, that a vehicle donation to us will mean that at the conclusion of our second trip, they will be auctioned for funds to be dispursed to our charities. The team takes NO PROFIT during the entire course of the journeys. All proceeds are donated to charity.
Any donators of primary status will have their logo decaled to primary locations on the vehicles.
